Barcelona is a city that has a wide range of activities to keep you entertained at any time. If you’re not one to spend Sunday on the sofa watching your favourite series or film for the tenth time, you’re in the perfect place. Although, well, we understand that you don’t want to leave your house… Cotown’s rooms are a different story, though.

At Cotown we don’t want you to be bored, on the contrary, we want you to have a good time in the city, so we’re going to do our bit and join you on any given Sunday.

Having a vermouth on a terrace If you like to go out in the afternoon, having a vermouth is always a good plan, and if it’s with live music, it’s even better. At Taller Bar Bultural they play live music on Sundays from 13:00h and, if you are LGTBIQ+ or an ally, and you prefer to be with your family, you’ll love the Vermouth Party at Bar Rufián.

The beach If the weather is nice, enjoying a day at the beach in Barcelona to disconnect from work or classes is always good for everyone. Sun, a dip in the sea, an ice cream… Besides, you have the Barceloneta beach right in the centre, just like our Cotown flats ;)

Watching a match at Camp Nou Is there anyone in the world who does not know Barça, at least by hearsay? Maybe on another planet yes, but on ours we doubt it very much. Whether you are a football fan or not, watching a match at the Camp Nou is an experience worth living. And if it’s against your team… Even better!

Barcelona from the heights CAUTION: People with vertigo should not use the cable car!

If you want to enjoy Barcelona from the heights, you have the option of doing so from two cable cars: the Port Cable Car and the Montjuïc Cable Car. The views are spectacular.

Electronic Brunch If what you like is a good party and techno/house music, Barcelona has two well-known electronic brunches: Brunch in the City and Brunch in the Park. Both host the best DJs in the world. If you’re more the type to pay 10 euros for a cubata or a portion of chips and ketchup, while listening to good music surrounded by people, Brunch is the perfect party for you. Good thing you have the Cotown flats to get over the hangover.

What can you visit in Barcelona for free?

If there’s one thing we agree on, it’s that Sundays are for doing everything that we don’t have time to do during the week. Are you one of those people who think that in Barcelona you can’t do anything for free? Well, dear friend, we have to tell you that you’re not right.

Museums in BCN Some of the city’s best-known museums are open on Sundays so you can visit all their exhibitions. These include the “Blau”, “the Museu del Disseny”, “the Museu de la Música”, “the Museu Etnològic”, the “MUHBA” and “the Museu Frederic Marès”. Markets of Barcelona The jewel in the crown. You can find your perfect garment at an incredible price while you sip a cold beer thanks to the second-hand markets that are organised in Barcelona. The best known is the Lost & Found, but be warned, it only takes place four times a year, so don’t miss it!

Bike routes in Barcelona If you like the Dutch vibe and want to get lost on a bike and discover the most hidden places in Barcelona, you’re in luck. In Barcelona there is a long list of routes suitable for cycling, so you know, plan your Sundays to enjoy the outdoors and contact with nature.
