Are you new to the Valencian Cotown family? Welcome!
First of all, thank you for joining our crew, we promise you won’t regret it. Secondly, congratulations for your decision to do it in our Valencia coliving flats, one of the best cities in Spain that you could have chosen.
Now that the cold and the rains are starting, what you feel like is a good dose of sofa, blanket and the biggest cup of chocolate with churros you have at home. We know this is true, but being in Valencia it is obligatory to visit some of its most emblematic places, and we don’t say so, the Constitution says so.
Don’t know which ones? We tell you the best things to do in Valencia in winter.
Let’s do it!
Tour por museos
The perfect plan to take shelter from the cold and rain and enjoy the culture. You will be amazed by the cultural, artistic and historical offer of Valencia. Don’t miss the opportunity to visit the Fine Arts Museum, considered one of the most important in the country.
In this link you have a list of all the museums in Valencia. Yes, it is very long, we know. We advise you to find out more about each one and choose the ones that interest you most.
Come oooon, support culture and enjoy! 🧠
Visit the snowy villages
When you can, escape to the snowy villages around Valencia. Some of these include Enguera, Requena, Játiva or the old town and Roman theatre of Sagunto.
Will you be cold? Yes, but how beautiful the villages are when they are snowed in. And, let’s face it, your Instagram photos are going to be perfect, what’s the point 💁💁♂️
If you feel like going to Castellón for a day, you have to make a stop in Morella to learn all its stories and visit the castle. At this time of year it is spectacular. We promise you.
Ready to make snowmen and throw snowballs at people? Let’s go!
Ice Skating
In Valencia the ice rinks are chasing you. Even if you don’t want to go to an ice rink, it will come to you🤣. Seriously, there are a lot of them. And no, we’re not exaggerating.
These are the most typical ice rinks that you can find in Valencia every year:
Bonaire Ice Rink Open all year round. Yes, yes… ALL year round.
Ice rink CC El Saler Available from 1 December to 5 January.
Nuevo Centro ice rink Open from the beginning of December until 6 January.
Ice rink in the Town Hall square The Town Hall square opens the doors of its ice rink from the end of November until the first week of January.
If you’ve been to an ice rink before, there’s little we can tell you that you don’t already know, but if you’re thinking of going to one for the first time, please don’t forget to record yourself. At Cotown we want to witness your asses. 🤟
Heading for the ice!
Visit the Christmas markets and fairs
At Christmas time Valencia is even more beautiful, if that is possible. A multitude of markets and fairs take place in the city.
Strolling through the streets of Valencia at this time of year you will love it. You can see the souvenir stalls and try different food trucks.
We suppose you’ll have no doubt that the gastronomy in this city is wonderful, so eat, eat a lot, because once you leave here, it will be difficult to eat the same way again.
Visit the City of Arts and Sciences
Yes, you can do this in summer, we know, but it’s worth seeing at any time of the year, so don’t be picky. Go to the Oceanogràfic, the Príncipe Felipe Museum, the Palau de les Arts… Endless possibilities to spend your free time.
If you have any doubts about how to start your stay in Valencia, you are in the right place. At Cotown we will help you with everything you need to make your start as easy as possible.
